If you have an idea for your film but find the motion graphic process a little daunting, fear not it’s fairly straight forward. The process I’ve cultivated ensures the project stays on track and we smash through that deadline!
Step 01- The Brief
We begin the process by discussing what you hope your film will achieve; whether that would be to explain your product/services, help raise awareness for a campaign or increase awareness of your brand.
Step 02- Script o’clock
Holding everything together, your script must be engaging and capture the tone of your brand to help draw the viewer in and make a positive and lasting impression.
Step 03- Voice Over
Whether you are able to provide your own voice over or will need help finding the perfect fit, we can accommodate accordingly.
Step 04- Storyboard
We take your script and edit the copy into scenes, creating a sequence of stills that will help visualise the narrative of the final film.
Step 05- Style Frames
Working to your brief, we draft up three scenes from the storyboard to accurately visualise the final art treatment. Colours, line weight, character design, typography; all will be considered to help best demonstrate how the final film will look.
Step 06- Animatic
By combining the voice over and stills from the storyboard we create a film that provides very helpful insight into the pace and flow of the final piece.
Step 07- Illustration & Animation
The animation phase is the final step in the visual design of your motion graphic film. By this point, you’re confident and excited about the visual narrative, voice over and art direction of the final piece.
Step 08- Music and Sound Design
Music and sound effects are added to the final edit as the master levels are refined by a sound engineer.
Step 09- Sign Off & Delivery
Upon final sign off we can provide multiple versions of the film, to include optimised versions for specific platforms such as Vimeo, YouTube and Instagram....
